You were never RANDOM RECLAIMING your ALIGNMENT

There is a truth many people are slowly remembering, often after periods of confusion, transition, or deep reflection: nothing about your life is random. Not your gifts, not your challenges, and not even the moments that seemed to shake your sense of direction. Each experience carries weight, meaning, and purpose—even when it is not immediately clear.

Many people move through life feeling disconnected, as if they are trying to piece things together without a clear understanding of where they are going. This feeling does not come from a lack of purpose, but rather from being out of alignment with it. Life has a way of pulling people into survival mode, where decisions are made out of urgency, fear, or habit instead of intention. Over time, this creates a distance between who you are and how you live.

Alignment, however, is not something you have to search endlessly for. It is something you return to.

Within the Ifá tradition, the concept of Ori represents one’s higher consciousness—the inner authority that holds awareness, direction, and truth. When you are in alignment with your Ori, there is a sense of clarity that guides your choices. This does not mean life becomes free of challenges, but it does mean those challenges begin to make sense within the larger picture of your growth. When you are out of alignment, however, life can feel heavy, uncertain, and inconsistent.

There are often clear signs when you are being called back into alignment. You may find yourself outgrowing relationships, habits, or environments that once felt comfortable. You may feel overwhelmed, yet aware that something deeper is shifting within you. You may begin to question your purpose more seriously, or feel an urge to slow down and reevaluate the direction of your life. These moments are not setbacks; they are invitations to reconnect with yourself more intentionally.

The process of realignment is not dramatic or instant. It is built through daily practice and conscious awareness. It can be as simple as taking time to sit in stillness and listen inward, learning to trust your inner voice, and becoming more mindful of what you allow into your mental, emotional, and spiritual space. It also requires making choices that reflect who you are becoming, rather than clinging to versions of yourself you have already outgrown.

It is important to understand that this process is not about perfection. It is about consistency and honesty. There will be moments of clarity and moments of uncertainty, but both are part of the same journey back to yourself.

If there is one thing to hold onto, it is this: you are not behind. What may feel like delay is often preparation. Every experience you have had—whether you understood it at the time or not—has contributed to your awareness, your strength, and your ability to move with greater intention. Nothing has been wasted.

As you move forward, take a moment to reflect honestly on where you are. Ask yourself whether you are moving through life on autopilot or making intentional choices that align with who you truly are. The answer to that question is not something to judge, but something to build from.

This is the work of returning to yourself. This is the path of living with intention.

Simple Morning Alignment Practice

Start your day with intention, not urgency.

Take a few quiet moments to center yourself before engaging with the world.

Breathe, become present, and set a clear intention for how you want to move through the day.

Place your hands on your head and acknowledge your Ori, asking for clarity, guidance, and alignment.

As you prepare for your day, be mindful—whether washing your face or showering—release what does not belong to you and ground yourself in awareness.

Choose one or two intentional actions that reflect who you are becoming, and move forward with purpose.

Alignment doesn’t require perfection—just consistency.
